MaxBackups is built for people and businesses that want a simple way to back up important files without managing their own storage or backup server.
Users can install the MaxBackups application, choose the folders they want to protect, and let the software handle backups in the background.
The service supports scheduled backups, incremental backups, file version history, and file or folder recovery.
Why We Built MaxBackups
Many people still keep important files only on their computer.
This can become a problem when a hard drive fails, a laptop is lost, a file is deleted by mistake, or files are damaged by malware.
There are already many backup products in the market. Some are very advanced, but they can also be complex or expensive for users who only need reliable file backup.
We have helped and implemented computer backups for numerous organizations and teams. One thing was constant – from periodical key rotations, to managing the software and its updates – the chores were going on and on. Backups was not something that you would be able to setup and forget.
With MaxBackups, our goal is simple: provide an easy cloud backup service for individuals, families, and small businesses.
How MaxBackups Works
After installing the application, users can select the files and folders they want to back up.
MaxBackups then uploads the data to cloud storage based on the selected backup schedule.
The service uses incremental backups, which means it does not upload all files again during every backup. Only new or changed data needs to be transferred.
This helps reduce bandwidth usage and backup time.
MaxBackups also keeps previous versions of backed-up files. This can be useful when a file is changed, deleted, or overwritten by mistake.
Plans for Different Types of Users
MaxBackups is available in four plans.
Micro is designed for users who need to protect a smaller amount of important data.
Solo is for a single computer with a larger backup requirement.
Family allows backup storage to be shared across multiple computers.
Company is designed for businesses that need to protect several computers and keep backup history for a longer period.
Company plans include up to 36 months of backup history, while other plans include up to 12 months.
Users can also add more storage when required.
Security
Data is encrypted while it is being transferred and while it is stored.
MaxBackups currently uses managed encryption keys. This allows Cenmax to operate and support the backup service without requiring users to manage their own encryption keys.
We also designed the service so users can restore individual files and folders without downloading an entire backup.
Built as a Cenmax Product
MaxBackups is developed as part of the Cenmax product ecosystem.
Cenmax has been operating cloud infrastructure, hosting, servers, and storage services for many years. MaxBackups extends this work into desktop cloud backup.
The service is currently focused on Windows and macOS systems.
We plan to continue improving the software based on real-world usage and customer feedback.

MaxBackups is now available at maxbackups.net.
Users can view the available plans, create an account, and download the backup application from the MaxBackups website.
This is the first public version of MaxBackups, and we expect the product to continue evolving as more users begin using it.
